Barone appeared in the fourth-season Seinfeld episode The Shoes as Gail Cunningham Chef who wanted Elaine Benes shoes. In the early 1990s she was a regular member on Carol & Company with actress Carol Burnett. Barone was Carol Willick Ross Geller's ex-wife in the initial Friends appearance. Barone left the show when she was seeking the role full-time. was replaced by Jane Sibbett. She was a star in The Jeff Foxworthy Show during the beginning of the season (1995-1996) and The War at Home in 2005-2007. Barone played co-star alongside Daddio in 2000. Her television credits include Desperate women Curb Your Enthuasm Quantum Leap Empty Nest Chicago Hope Castle Do Not Disturb Ally McBeal Caroline and the City Party of Five The Larry Sanders Show. The film she acted in, One Last Ride earned her the Best Supporting Actress Award at the Methodfest in 2005. Barone's recurring role in the Disney Channel show Shake It Up began in 2010, three years after The War at Home finished its run. Barone played the role of Officer Georgia Jones, the mother of Bella Thorne's CeCe Jones. Her husband, actor Matthew Glave guest starred in two episodes of Shake It Up as J.J. Jones who is the ex-husband of Barone's character.
